The California Desert makes an easy quick getaway from Southern California. As a costal California native, I’ve never really had much of a taste for the desert life. I don’t golf, am scared of the dry skin that comes with excessive dry heat, and I fall outside the stereotypical gay and retiree vibe that Palm Springs has always been known for. However, the past few years I keep finding myself visiting for various reasons. The desert has summoned me out to its wellness culture for hot springs, peaceful landscapes and more recently started to appreciate Mid Century design, architecture antiquing.
I’ve found myself more and more because of the unique offers the desert has. For the adult getaway we find ourselves frequently choosing Two Bunch Palms for the hot spring pools, but if that is not your aim there are plenty of options to meet every lifestyle.
